INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: “ASPECTS OF CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SKILLS IN CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE”

Međunarodno udruženje "Interaktivne otvorene škole" (MIOS) Tuzla, within the project "ACT4ROM - Acting for Roma participation, entrepreneurship, employment and empowerment" in cooperation with partner organizations Partner per Femijet - Albania, Pomoć deci - Serbia, School Dokoran, Wide Open School - Slovakia, organized the International conference on the topic: "Aspects of contribution to the development of life skills in children and young people".

The conference was held on October 3, 2022. in the Hollywood Hotel, Sarajevo.

The International conference gathered 100 participants from Albania, Serbia, Slovakia, and mostly from Bosnia and Herzegovina, among whom were the representatives of:

  • Federal Ministry of Education and Science FBiH
  • Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska
  • Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton
  • OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo
  • Public institutions, educational center of Tuzla Canton
  • Institute for Public Health of Tuzla Canton
  • primary and secondary schools TK
  • non-governmental organizations of BiH
  • of youth workers.

During the International Conference, we had the opportunity to:

  • Promote the importance of recognizing skills and knowledge acquired through informal and flexible learning paths;
  • Promote the importance of entrepreneurial learning and active social engagement of children and young people in the community, through upbringing and education;
  • Share successful practices, project results and outcomes;
  • Celebrate young and youth workers who are active citizens and show outstanding competence in society;
  • Develop the capacities of youth workers, through plenary and small group workshops on relevant topics and recommendations of all involved actors for further work.

The International conference is the final activity of the project. The project is implemented as part of the Erasmus + program and is financed by the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual Culture and Culture acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission.
